01Who we are
This site is operated by CargoTrace Investigation, the investigation division of M.Y. Technologie & Sécurité, an agency holding licence INV 20063701 from the Bureau de la sécurité privée, based in Terrebonne, QC.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information: Yan Aubin, Privacy Officer, M.Y. Technologie & Sécurité. For any question or request: confidentialite@investigationcargotrace.com.
02Information we collect
Through the confidential request form, we collect only what you choose to send us:
- name, organisation (optional), email and phone;
- type of client, type of matter, region and urgency;
- contact preference, permission to leave a message and best time to reach you;
- the summary of the situation you write.
03Technical information
When you visit the site, our host Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical data. This data protects the site: anti-bot check (Turnstile) and limits on abusive submissions. It is also used for overall visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Traffic statistics do not rely on cookies.
04Why we use it
Your information is used only to:
- assess your request and contact you as you prefer;
- prevent abusive submissions and protect the site;
- if a mandate is entrusted to us, carry it out under its terms.
05Consent
By ticking the consent box on the form, you agree that your information may be used to assess your request. Sending the form is not a mandate. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to confidentialite@investigationcargotrace.com.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for marketing.
06Service providers and transfers outside Québec
To run this site and deliver your request, we use the following providers:
- Cloudflare: site hosting, bot protection (Turnstile), firewall and traffic statistics;
- Resend: email delivery of your request to our inbox;
- Microsoft 365: the inbox where your request is received and handled. Data is hosted in Canada.
Cloudflare and Resend may process information outside Québec, notably in the United States. These transfers are covered by a privacy impact assessment. Each provider is also bound by contract to protect your information.
07Retention
We do not store your requests in a database. The form sends your request by email to our inbox. Resend keeps delivery logs for a limited time, under its own policy.
- Request with no follow-up (no mandate): deleted 12 months after receipt.
- Request that becomes a mandate: added to the mandate file and kept under the rules that apply to that file.
08Security
Exchanges with this site are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to requests is limited to the licensed investigators who need it to handle them.
09Your rights
You may request access to your personal information, its correction or deletion, and withdraw your consent. Write to confidentialite@investigationcargotrace.com; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
